World Breastfeeding Week August 2, 2008
The benefits of breastfeeding are numerous and it now seems that children who have been breastfed may even be brighter. Scientist have found that breastfed babies have a higher IQ than non breastfed babies - around eight points higher. The study was published in Archives of General Psychiatry.
World Breastfeeding Week runs from 1-7 August 2008. It is organised by the World Alliance for Breastfeeding Action.
